Hey Dave,
Hope you're well. Saw the Humcast. Good stuff!
One of my favorite tracks that you wrote is 'The Quick'. Awesome work man, that is just a killer soundtrack!
What did you use for the big drum shots? Is that Stylus RMX or Stormdrum?
Talk to you soon!
Sean
Hey Dave,
I haven't checked my profile in a while, just got your message. To record the Mississippi Ballad I used an AKG 414 mic. Thanks for the compliments!
Hope all is well!
Sean
Hey Dave,
Congrats on the Humtoo feature! Amazing work as usual. Especially 'The Quick' and 'Great Adventure'
What recording software did you use if any for the loud drum sequences and horn sections? I thought you really nailed that !
Talk to you soon!
Sean
Hey Dave,
Forgot to mention, I'm being featured for the month of April on Humtoo. Check out the blog and video below. I'm not so great on camera though!!

Hey Dave,
Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed the tracks! I use East West Quantum Leap Goliath for most of my sound libraries from which I used some of the chants. It has an awesome range of chants instruments and sound effects as well as ethnic instruments. Its definitely worth owning. I also used some chants from Kontakt 2. Some of the tracks are from the 100 Days on the Yukon documentary I scored. There are some chants in one of the tracks from the documentary that is actually me. I gave it a shot but found that the East West route was a better way to go about it!
Sean
Hey Dave,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
Cool stuff, I use Pro Tools as my main platform. However I also use Kontakt, Guitar Rig and Reason. I have used Stylus RMX in the past and have been meaning to buy my own version as it is an awesome sampler. I also use East West sound libraries which are killer. I play all my own guitar parts as well. The guitar is my main instrument but I play others also.
Hey I meant the complement, I seriously believe you have some of the best music on Humtoo. It would be amazing to one day collaborate with you.
Sean
Hey Dave,
Great Music man!! You're one of my favorites on Humtoo.
What platforms do you use fore recording? Do you use sound libraries or record with midi? If so which libraries do you use?
Sean
